Starbucks ice cream must have caffeine in it. *sigh*
It was yummy, but it wasn't worth this. I think I'm finally sleep enough to go to bed now. *thud*

"It’s time for some tough love: Positive diet changes mean very little for long-term health if you smoke. There are a staggering 440,000 annual deaths each year in the U.S. from tobacco-related illnesses. One cigarette contains more than 4,000 chemical substances and hundreds of toxins. Most people know smoking can lead to lung cancer, but it also increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, chronic lung conditions, and periodontal disease to name a few."

If that's not enough think of all the money you could be saving!
If you only smoke 10 cigarettes a day, and a pack costs you $4 (I'm not sure the going rate tese days.) that's $60 a month! Wolf and I could go to dinner twice on thar much money! That's an Unlimuted vioce, text, data cell phone plan from Metro PCS. That's 1/2 my Comcast bill for internet, home phone and TV. $730 a year. That's one month's rent on my apartment. More than two of my car payments. Those are just the immidiate out of pocket costs. Thinking more about the health benefites, think of the dentisrty bills, health insurance co-pays and other Dr. related expenses you WILL incur if you keep smoking.
Each time you light a cigarette try visualizing rolling up a dollar and lighting it on fire.

Not sure why, I guess because I just think it's kewl to have something painted that you can then draw on, over and over again.
Check out these chalkboard painted pots. They are too cute!

Come join some like minded people for a casual gathering. Sip some coffee, tea, beer or wine, have dinner (yummy sandwiches) or dessert (cakes and pies to die for) or just come and talk. EVERYONE WELCOME! There is no topic or agenda for these gatherings, it's just a nice casual evening and a chance to meet new people or reconnect with friends.

I did the other DVD today. This was "Discover Bellydance: Basic Dance" with Neena and Veena. It wasn't bad, but I found it boring. I think it would be much better for a beginner dancer because it really does break down the moves better, but it's less of a workout.

I had a great time at a work picnic last Friday. We danced in the parking lot to Thriller and a few other songs, and then I learned the Cha Cha Slide which is danced to a song that tells you what steps to do. It's a lot of fun. A couple pictures and the song under the cut! Oh and yes, I freely admit to being a dork. :)

What was the last movie I saw in a theater? Um... I don't remember. Wolf and I saw something together last year. What was that....
Movie theaters just seem like a ripoff to me. A ticket is at least $7 and you can't bring your own food/drink so you're forced to pay the ungodly amount of money they charge for popcorn. No, I can't skip the popcorn. It's part of the experience. The theaters are so rundown and icky nowadays too. The floors are sticky, the seats are dirty and uncomfortable, and don't get me started on the bathrooms.

I've enjoyed watching the show and really like the people they chose for the competition.
I'm not sure who my favorite is yet, but I really like Brandon. He's such a cutie-pie and all I can think when I hear him talk about how he's never had a girlfriend is "How is that possible? He's just adorable!".

It's also reminded me how much I've always loved to dance. I may not be the best dencer, but I love dancing. Dancing is also the only form of exercise, other than swimming, that I actually enjoy. I borrowed 2 workout DVDs from the library on Saturday. One is Bellydance Basics with Neena and Veena. I think I've seen it before (I think [Unknown LJ tag] owns it.) and if I remember correctly I thought it was a bit cheesy, but not too bad. I plan on doing it tomorrow night. Monday night I did the other one I borrowed. I really enjoyed it. It's called Flex Appeal by Kathy Smith and has a 20 minute slow "sensual" bellydance workout, a 20 minute cardio bellydance workout and a short stretching bit (yoga-ish) at the end. I don't know that I'd suggest it as someone's first bellydance video, but for someone who knows the basic moves it was pretty good. By the end I was sweating and felt like I got a good workout. I'm going to have to purchase that one.
And like it's kismet, what do I get in my email today? A couple links to free online dance workouts!

I take long showers. I love to sit under the hot water spray. I have a hard time waking up in the morning and my 20+ minute shower helps me start my day. I know I should speed it up and quit wasting water but I just can't.

This morning as I was leaving my apartment complex, I saw the local calico. I haven't seen her in about a month. Now I know why. Her left ear has been tipped. I'm so happy someone is practicing TNR in our community. I wish I knew who it was. I'd love to offer my support. She's such a sweet girl. She comes up to me and lets me pet her. She even rolls over and lets me rub her belly. Another lady who lives(ed?) there told me once that the kitty is friends with her dog. She even goes inside the lady's apartment and eats dog food sometimes, but is just a stray. If CITC wasn't so chock full of kittens I;d talk to L about taking her in. She's too sweet to be out on the streets. I guess she knows how to take care of herself since it's coming up on 2 years ago that I first saw her. She is wary of cars and hangs out near the dumpster a lot. Poor little thing. She's a little skinny but not starving. I think the office feeds her too. At least they said they did when they took over from the old owners.
