It appears that the $70,000 trailers purchased for the victims of hurricane Katrina have been found to be leaking toxic levels of Formaldehyde.
"Formaldehyde is a carcinogen used in glues, and is found in a trailer's carpets, walls and cabinets."
How many more ways can the government screw these people over and waste our tax dollars?
This similarly sized 2006 trailer (1 bedroom, one bathroom) that is in like new condition (only used for 1 trip) only costs $23,000 and I bet it doesn't leak FORMALDEHYDE!!!
I saw a brand new one online for only a little over $37,000!
You'd have thought that since FEMA ordered trailers from a manufacturer in BULK that they would have gotten a better deal.
Just another example of our government at it's best!
